Simply steep herbs according to the directions. I use one ounce to a quart of water for four hours before putting it in a gallon jug and filling it the rest of the way with apple cider vinegar. Shake well and give your horses a half-cup over their feed once a day.

You can drench the injured eye with the herbal tea, too. Take a soft, clean cotton cloth and put enough herbal eye formula to soak, then squeeze excess herbal formula over eye and place the wet cloth gently to drip more in.

Eyebright is the main herb for protecting and maintaining the health of the eye. It acts as an internal medicine for the constitutional tendency to eye weakness, and will also remove cysts that have been caused by chronic conjunctivitis. It is found in many herbal eye formulas, so you can also dowse or muscle test whether your horse needs it.
